IR Downloader is designed to be privacy-first. You do not need to create an account or log in to use the service. When you paste a Reel URL and request a download, we process the link on our server to fetch the video and return it to your browser. We do not store the videos you download.

We use your browser's localStorage to remember your theme preference. We also use analytics and advertising services as described below. No Instagram login credentials are requested by the service.

IR Downloader uses browser localStorage to store your theme preference (light/dark mode) and, where applicable, download count data for rate limiting. We do not use cookies to identify you personally.

Security

Communications with the site use HTTPS/TLS. We do not ask for your Instagram password. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use your own judgment before submitting information.
